gifting guide: for the soft-hearted friend
a big part of Rose Archive + Co. is a deep-rooted love for gift-giving. everything i make is created with the same love and intention that i put into gifts for my friends and family. i absolutely love the idea of something from the archive becoming part of someone else's gift.
some people are simply easy to shop for. they're the ones who keep all the birthday cards over the years, they press flowers in their books, and smile at even the tiniest of moments. they love little trinkets, unique handmade finds, and the kind of gift that feels like it was chosen just for them.
these are the kinds of people i think about while i'm creating. every piece is made hoping it'll end up in the hands of someone who appreciates the little things. if you are that someone, or can think of that someone in your life, here's what i'd gift them from the archive.
✿ pressed flower bookmarks. little (un)known fact, everyone who buys a bookmark buys a one-of-a-kind piece. each bookmark is made with real pressed florals and paired with a matching charm. they're a perfect gift for someone who loves to read, unintentionally collects bookmarks, appreciates handmade pieces, or simply enjoys supporting local artists.
✿ jewelry.jewelry has a way of becoming part of someone's everyday life. each piece from the archive is made by hand and no two are exactly alike. whether they're drawn to whimsical statement earrings or something simple enough to wear every day, there's a little bit of nature tucked into every piece.
✿ buttons + magnets.everyone loves buttons. if they don't love buttons, then they love magnets. Rose Archive + Co. has both! one of the best things about being at the market is watching people look through the buttons and seeing which ones they finally choose for themselves. it's as if they are choosing what affirmation speaks to them, and it's one of my favorite moments to witness at the market.
✿ suncatchers.whether they're for a window, or in the car, the suncatchers are always a go-to for customers looking for that little something. not only do they catch the light, but they also hold a little piece of nature and good intentions. every suncatcher is made with spontaneity and whimsy.
✿ junk journal kits.journaling has always been a huge part of my life, which is why these felt like the perfect addition to the archive. if you or someone you know loves to (junk) journal, collage, or simply put pen to paper, then these journal kits are a perfect gift. each kit is thoughtfully gathered around its own theme and filled with paper, ephemera, dried florals, wax seals, and other little creative finds.
✿ blind date with a book.here at Rose Archive + Co., we believe in the power of reading! what sets my blind date with a book apart is that there are books for all ages and all genres. many of them are sourced from local bookstores, so each blind date supports more than one small business. a lot of the books i've chosen for the blind dates are ones that give the message of humanity, leading with compassion, finding joy, and most importantly, taking care of each other and the small corner of the world that we inhabit.
thoughtful gifts don't have to be extravagant. sometimes it's simply something you spot at a market that instantly makes you think of someone. maybe it's a floral bookmark, a tiny button, or a cozy new book to crack open.those are the kinds of things i love making. while christmas in july is a fun reminder that gift-giving doesn't have to wait until december, i hope this guide inspires you to surprise someone you care about any time of year. after all, the best gifts are often the ones given for no reason at all.
